Daniel Yomtobian

Daniel Yomtobian was born in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California, where he spent his childhood living with his parents and an older sister. Daniel’s father emigrated from Iran as a teenager and his mother, who was born in Hungary, moved to the U.S. around the same time. Growing up, Daniel and his family endured financial hardships. As such, he learned at a very young age to work hard and be self-sufficient by following the example of his father, a relentless businessman, and his mother, a social worker. Daniel began contributing to the family’s income by helping out in his father’s printing store during the summer months.

Like most teenage boys, Daniel was interested in sports. He especially enjoyed karate, soccer, and football—he even made the high school football team. Daniel was extremely disciplined for his age: he studied during the day and worked at night as a bag boy at the community supermarket in order to support his family. During his high school years, Daniel’s mother bought him his first computer. He was keen to understand computers as well as the ins and outs of the newly emerging World Wide Web, and so he educated himself on these topics in his spare time.

By the time Daniel graduated high school, his father had started to get involved in a number of online domain name investments. Inspired by this, Daniel began to explore the Internet industry for himself. On top of his daytime job, he attended business courses at the local university and started to experiment with website creation and design. In his early days as a web designer, Daniel worked for small companies from a variety of industries. He constantly developed his computer skills and eventually started to buy and sell dictionary-based domain names. Daniel soon realized that creating websites was only the first step: He saw a more lucrative opportunity in strategically place links for businesses and driving more visitors to their websites.

Daniel found early success in his business model, and decided that online advertising was where his career would take off. He soon co-founded WayInternet, an online media and advertising company, as well as the search engine Findology. However, in 2001 he founded his most successful business: ABCSearch.com, one of the Internet’s leading providers of cost-per-click searches. In 2009, ABCSearch.com was rebranded as Advertise.com, the company he leads today.

Advertise.com is now one of the premier advertising networks for Contextual pay per click, Display, Mobile, Video and Remarketing traffic for businesses large and small. Its mission is to provide advertisers with quality traffic that converts, and publishers with competitive listings that yield high revenues. Advertise.com is based in Sherman Oaks, California and has an office in Hyderabad, India.

Today, Daniel Yomtobian is considered a pioneer and innovator in the online advertising industry. Featured in the 1st Quarter, 2014 edition of C-Suite Quarterly, he was identified as a “…young leader [who] will continue to play an important role in shaping the online world of tomorrow.” He was also selected as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® award in 2012. Daniel has clear visions of what he wants to achieve and is persistent in following his goals and dreams. He is enthusiastic about his business and that passion is reflected in his success. At the same time, he considers it his responsibility to give back to the world and share his good fortune with others.

When he’s not helping redefine the online advertising industry, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family as well as traveling the world. Most recently, he began exploring a new passion: learning to pilot an airplane. Considering his dedication and perseverance that has allowed him to succeed in the online advertising industry, it is certain that this new passion will soon “take flight.”
